Description: Come join the Euro Challenge Club and learn about the European Union (EU) and the euro. Teams of three to five students will select a “challenge” issue facing a country in the EU and prepare a presentation for a competition to be held in April.
In 2020, the top five winning teams received monetary awards generously provided by The Moody’s Foundation. The awards were $1,250 for each member of the first-place team, $1,000 each for second place, $750 each for third place, $500 each for fourth place, and $250 each for fifth place!

Description: Are you concerned about the health of our warming planet? Would you like to learn why we are going to see more 90+ days in NYC summers? Why will we be seeing more hurricanes and flooding?
Climate change is an existential threat to our species, and we are already seeing the effects of human impact on our environment. Come join the Green Team to learn how we can act to help protect our planet. We will discuss the causes of climate change and what role we play as individuals, a school community, and a city in the fight against climate change. We will focus on solutions and actions to help create a more sustainable world, from boosting our waste separation at school to PSA campaigns to neighborhood clean-ups. Come join us and help us save the planet!

Description: National Honor Society Club is an honorary organization for students who have excellent academic standing and who have been chosen based on rigorous criteria. Once selected, the organization meets weekly and is involved in numerous school and community activities

It is a program that allows students to develop research, argumentation, speechwriting, oratory and performance skills needed in the lawyers, educators, politicians and performers of the future

Description: The Spanish Club or "La Familia" is a great opportunity for students to connect and practice the Spanish language in a club setting. Description: The Pride Club brings students of different sexual and gender identities together to meet new people, hang out, talk, and have fun. We plan to coordinate activities to build a diverse and inclusive community. A safe space for students that are either allies or a part of the [LGBTQ+] community. The club will be a supportive, encouraging environment where students can be unapologetically themselves. Meetings will be conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect, with a positive tone, encouraging cultural diversity and competency, and maintaining confidentiality.

Description: The Wendy Wasserstein Project is one of the most exciting and life-changing programs available to very lucky NYC high school students. It is a theater and dance arts mentoring program for high school juniors and seniors. It was conceived in 1998 by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein in the hopes of exploring the relevance of theater to teenagers and building future audiences. The program assigns professional theater and dance professionals to mentor a group of 8 students per school. The mentors are some of the industry’s most acclaimed playwrights, directors, actors, composers, choreographers and other creative professionals. Each group will have a total of 6-7 theater or dance outings with a post-show discussion and journal reflection. Additionally, we will meet on some Wednesdays after school in Room 305.

Description: Sign Language Club will meet weekly to learn American Sign Language (ASL) as well as about Deaf culture and the Deaf community. Description: The yoga club is for all students who wish to learn and participate in this ancient yet modern art! Yoga has been [email protected] to have numerous physical benefits; it helps to build strength, increases flexibility, lengthens muscles, and helps core stability and posture. The mental benefits are well documented; lowering anxiety and depression as well as teaching more compassionate and empathetic approaches to others and the self. This club is open to all levels, modifications and variations are offered to serve all. No experience needed.

Description: Netrunner is a multiple award-winning, asymmetrical, 2-player card game. In the game, one player takes on the role of morally dubious corporations seeking to advance agendas for profit and for power while another player acts as a savvy computer hacker trying to expose these agendas without getting caught. In this basic game, two players adhere to substantially different rules systems in order to accomplish opposing goals.
The game of Netrunner features a wide diversity of playable character identities in terms of race, sexuality, gender, and even fictional forms of transhuman and artificial intelligences. Both within and around the game, the Netrunner community has been one that supports diversity with an ongoing commitment to a transmedia universe. Netrunner is played competitively all around the world. Every year in November a tournament is held across multiple continents to declare a World Champion.
